UX Research

I have been working in UX Research for a little over a year now, I have been working with clients both during and after taking a bootcamp class with General Assembly.  During the Pandemic everything was remote which added new challenges including learning how to design engaging interviews and tests that I could conduct across zoom and with a screen share. Since graduating I have worked as a freelance UX Researcher.  During that time I have used tools like google forms, clickable wireframes and prototypes on Sketch, Invision, and Figma,

I have created some case studies of some of my favorite projects, feel free to read through them below.

I led a small team to understand the way freelancers operate in our modern gig economy, identifying their collective goals and frustrations and planning an effective platform that would address those concerns.

During the course of this project I also planned out a website that could effectively sell the platform

Mox Boardinghouse

With Covid shutting down stores in the spring of 2020 many small business had to quickly move their stores online. With a short time table and tight budget the small stores often struggle to have inviting and intuitive UI. Mox Boardinghouse was one of those businesses.

I examined and tested their current website with customers and people unfamiliar with their business. After understanding their frustrations with the website I drafted a plan of action on a redesign that would address those complaints and make their website feel more dynamic.

Austin Food+Wine Festival

An enticing food festival in the heart of Austin with both local legends and celebrity chefs coming together to share their love of food with the city. While the event sounds exciting their website mobile friendly and confused visitors. I worked with a small team to interview guests, analyse the way rival events built their mobile sites and apps and create a plan to design an engaging site.
